Summer! Fresh Start!
Hi Everyone,
My apologies for the delay in any activity. I have started a raw diet. My cravings for comfort food filled with rich-fats are sometimes overwhelming. Overall, I feel and look better. The results are positive and therefore, I am happy!
BUT, please let me know when you all want to get together. I need to feed my cravings, and I would love to catch-up with everyone.
I would like to invite all current bloggers of In Good Company to dinner at the Mandarin Chef on Thursday, June 4th. Let's start at 6:00pm. Cheers!

May 3rd! Chow In Queen Anne
Hi Everyone,
I hope to see everyone on May 3rd! How about meeting at a location in Queen Anne. Italian would be nice. I still cannot decide on our book. Light read and main discussion on-line due to the month getting shorter and shorter as I write this excerpt.

Spring into it!
Hi Everyone,
I am going to make it official! Let's meet Sunday, May 3rd. Shout out some locations. Would anybody like to meet at Monsoon East? Books?
Keep in mind, we could have in-depth on-line discussions and meet casually to dine.
I have a cheese expert interested in joining our group sometimes. Monto is currently is the demo-chef at Metropolitan Market. He is a wonderful resource and a foodie. In addition, Nancy Leson from the Seattle Times may join us in the near future. She is witty and fun. You may check her out weekly on NPR and online.
Cheers! Q

wELcOmE Back!
I'm trying to eat better, but not successful when it comes to portion control.
I am currently reading Real Food: What t o Eat and Why by Nina Planck. I have read Cooking for Mr. Latte by Amanda Hesser. Dawn would like to bring this read to the table.
Dawn, after we decide on date of our next meet, you are welcome to set our meets up as a continuing Yelp event. I would love to tie in a dinner, movie, book, and discussion group gathering- Let's meet for dinner soon.
Is anyone going to VegFest? I 'm wondering if past festivals have been worthwile and enjoyable?

Sunday at Henry's
Just finished pigging-out at Henry's New Bento. Standing room only. The wait went out the door. I ordered the pan-fried noodles and Mr. Gu made me his special mapo tofu wiith bokchoy. I eventually shared my table with Mr. loud slurps-this was at the end of his slurpfest.

Rachael Ray Show-Seattle Air
Rachael Ray's Seattle Show
Don Curtiss at Volterra dropped me a line to let me know that Rachael Ray's Seattle edition of "Rachael's Vacation" will air at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 1. (All You Can Eat had the dish back in August when Ray visited town.)
Here's how The Food Network described what to expect: "(T)rips to Queen Anne, Easy Street Records, Madison Park, lunch at Cactus, a snack at Lark, and dinner at Volterra."
I'll Check it Out while in San Francisco.

Talking with Our Mouths Full...
Hello,
This is our spot to share comments and experiences. Anything goes...
The Omnivore's Dilemma, by Michael Pollan is our current book. I am currently listening to the book through audible.com. Wheat-people, corn-people, or beef-people? Thought-provoking...the author educates us as he examines our current habits and behaviors. Just in the introduction alone, scientific studies and research support is laid out; to prepare us for the overwhelmness of the subject at hand.
I cannot figure out how to fast forward on media player. When I try, I have to listen to the book from the very beginning, or it locks up.
In addition to reading, please share your ideas for our discussion and future meets.
